Ask GPT or other AI for step-by-step help with any of these steps. Send the logs from %APPDATA%\CaptureAge\logs and C:\Users\<yourusername>\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\logs\ -> replace <yourusername> in here. I just made a post with the exact same problem. https://captureage.nolt.io/179

CA:DE Logfile:
Find your logfiles by putting %APPDATA%\CaptureAge\logs into your File Explorer’s address bar (to the left of the Search box). If you haven’t experienced your current issue before, also see if there are any old log files and include those.
DxDiag:
Create this file by pressing the Windows key button, typing dxdiag, and then the enter key.
The DirectX Diagnostic Tool window will open.
Wait for the information summary to finish (as indicated by the progress bar to the bottom). then click Save All Information, save the file with your username in it (i.e DxDiag(Username).txt)

Screenshots, screencasts, or even phone videos will help us gain more context for troubleshooting your issue
If your issue is related to lag or performance hiccups, it is also important to including the built-in CA:DE FPS counter, which can be enabled with F10. Having task manager information can also be helpful
