Unexpected error when opening client -Windows 7#58

When I open the CaptureAge client I get a pop-up saying: “Error - Unexptected error encountered in application”. After that the client opens and I can see an overview of my recorded games. While the AoE2:DE client is open I also get the error message: “Error initializing resources - This can be caused by an invalid installation. Try revalidating your Steam files if this error persists.” I revalidated my Steam files, but I this error message still shows up.
When I try to watch a recorded game nothing happens in the CaptureAge client and the recorded game starts playing in the AoE2:DE client, but with no functionality from CaptureAge. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. The only thing I could imagine being a problem is that I’m still using Windows 7.

I am having the same issues. Also the only problem I can think of is I use Windows 7 as well.

Unfortunately we do not support Windows 7 and it is not officially currently supported by Age II (or Microsoft, its End of Life was January 2020).
