CA crashes when starting a Rec#113

Whenever I try to load a Rec with CA, the appliaction crashes with the following error:

[2022-09-01 19:33:19.128] [info] (worker) Capturing exception:
UnhandledRejectionWithCause: RendererException: NOT SWALLOWING (initial_frame): [RenderLoop] renderer::atlas::wip::resource_factory::TextureBase::TextureBase:L20 (device->CreateTexture2D(&desc, nullptr, m_texture.ReleaseAndGetAddressOf())) ComException 80070057: The parameter is incorrect.

I’ve attached a redacted log of an unsuccessful attempt to start a rec

@pensive-bart Hey, could you please send that log to support@captureage.com so we can take a look at things. We prefer to manage logfgiles over private channels for privacy but I see the file is already redacted.

Just to clarify, does the program hard close on you or does it sta forever on the waiting for renderer phgase when loading into a game for example?

As we don’t have any logs for this we can’t confirm this is the case. But if your video memory is set around 3700-4200MB on CaptureAge on version 1.5.5 it can hard crash return errors upon loading a re, preventing you from spectating. We’re working on the issue and it should be addressed relatively soon, in the mean time if you adjust the GPU memory slider in the graphics section of CaptureAge above or below those numbers it should hopefully resolve the issue :)
