Hello, I wanted to know if the possibility of adding a function in the CA could be considered
where we can see the improvements of castle crowns developed by the players in the next updates.
I consider that it is important as it is to show if the bloodlines and the rest of the blacksmith improvements were developed for exemple. Thank you!

We’ve been discussing a feature like this the last week and we will probably end up implementing it soon. It will give some freedom on what technologies to always show on the UI.

I personally consider it a great advance, especially for the casters, being able to be aware of all the technological and military details without having to waste time in the game looking for the details. Thanks for the consideration. Cheers

I think part of the issue is that many things aren’t “checkable”. In DE, you can always check a player’s tech tree if you absolutely must know something.
It might be reasonable (along with any other feature to toggle specific stuff on the UI as a whole) to display the various related technologies within specific buildings’ info panels, for the player that owns that building.
e.g. squires, supplies, arson and infantry-related armour/attack upgrades from blacksmith could appear in a Barracks.
This would allow the castle-researched unique techs to show within a player’s castle for instance, and check stuff like siege engineers inside a siege workshop or university. The university itself could show all of its techs and their research statuses for the owning player. Unsure if it might make sense to have a mini research area within the info panel for a single unit (e.g. click on a mangonel and it has the siege engineers thing highlighted or not, click on a barracks unit to get their current researches that affect it… again unique techs may be harder here).
I guess the remaining scenarios would be if you researched the unique techs but then lost all your castles… which could still happen I suppose.

Sure, I fully understand the point. Although it is true that there are unique technologies that are rarely used and others that are detectable with the naked eye, there are others that are more difficult to know if they are developed or not and that many times in the process of recounting the game we overlook the at which point they are researched, and then we wonder whether or not they were developed (for example the Polish’s castle technology for cheaper horsemen). So having a quick menu with the small crown of the castle and imperial age would not be a bad idea. Thanks for your time!

Aye, I’m not against having it in the regular UI as well in some form… another idea would be to have some kind of toggle for an “expanded” techs section that shows many more techs than the default/current set. Unique techs, monk techs, dock techs, university - something you can toggle in/out to quickly check less common things.
Also re: unique techs - for 1v1s you’d be able to get the name of it on hover easily, in team games I guess you wouldn’t be able to, assuming it has the same box layout that the existing techs use, as each civ will have different underlying techs (?). Would have to play about with how to nicely present the hover-over for TGs.

^Merging in similar requests which mention UT’s, Husbandry, Thumbring etc

Suggestion: Unique techs icons/crowns could replace ballistics in the UI - one slot, sliced into 2 halfs, one for castle age, 2nd for imp.
Reasoning: ballistics is one of the techs that every single civs has access to and is one of the esiest to spot whether it’s researched or not by just observing range units. Imho it’s slot in the UI can be used better O:)
